The exhilarating sport of ice hockey is run by Gauteng Ice Hockey Association (GIHA), a non-profit organisation overseen by South African Ice Hockey Federation (SAIHA) who is a member of International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and SASCOC.

GIHA’s main purpose is to introduce ice hockey to individuals of all ages, race and sex by providing a safe and fair environment in which to practice a team sport. We have players as young as 4 years old up to players 54 years old.

To provide innovative training, coaching and facilities to satisfy the player’s needs of playing competitive ice hockey in Gauteng and South Africa.

We are affiliated to Gauteng Sports Council and host a league of U10, U14, U16, U18, Ladies Development, Senior Ladies, U20, 2nd Division, 1st Division, PHL and Super League games.

Ultimately the nature of ice hockey is of such that it develops into a lifetime sport.
